SUPPORT AT EVERY STAGE

Like the vets, the nurses have varying interests and specialist areas.

Everyone at the practice has animals of their own, some breed

theirs and have a wealth of general canine and puppy knowledge, others have horses, others goats but everyone will always be willing to help with any queries you may have about anything.

Quote...Unquote

"It was Sunday morning (one a.m.), a not unusual time for some farmers, after a late Saturday night, to have a look round their stock and decide to send for the vet."

James Herriot

"You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'My God, you're right! I never would've thought of that!' "

Dave Barry

"Dogs have owners, cats have staff."

Anonymous

"A horse which stops dead just before a jump and thus propels its rider into a graceful arc provides a splendid excuse for general merriment."

Duke of Edinburgh

It's a team effort.

The team consists of the 6 vets, 8 nurses and 2 receptionists distributed between Deal, Folkestone and the Equine unit.

Her own personal love is for Miniature Bull Terriers, one of whom won Best of Breed at Crufts 2007. She is also very interested in promoting health programmes for breeders and regularly organises BVA (British Veterinary Association) Hip Scoring and Eye clinics.

TRAINEE NURSES

As a Royal College approved Training Practice we are able to provide an excellent platform for people to become Qualified Veterinary Nurses (QVNs).

We currently have 2 ladies training to become QVNs through Hadlow College and one training to become an Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA) at Canterbury College. All our nurses have animals of their own and a keen interest in all aspects of the Surgery including our equine unit.
